Regional Assets Funding Committee



I. Introduction

The Regional Assets Funding Committee (RAFC) is pleased to announce that the application forms for the three categories of Regional Assets will now be available in a format that will allow many of you to complete the forms on the computer and print them out for submission (with any attachments) by mail.  For those of you who are unable to access the Microsoft Word version of the application forms and documents, they are also available in PDF format.  Please read all forms prior to completing an application to help ensure that you are applying for a grant that is appropriate for your organization or program.

 

II. Instructions For Completing An Application Using A Compatible Version Of Microsoft Word

·   Right click the link to the appropriate application;

·   Choose “Save Target As…”;

·   Choose the destination on your computer where you want to save the document;

·   Choose “Save”;

·   Open the document;

·   Complete the form fields;

·   Save your work;

·   Print completed document;

·   Obtain original signatures, etc. where indicated;

·   Retain photocopy of submissions for your records; and

·   Place in mail by postmark deadline date. 

 

III. Instructions For Completing An Application Using The PDF Application Form

·   Be sure that you have Adobe Reader.  If you don’t, please click here to access the Adobe Website and download the appropriate version of the software.

·   Open the appropriate PDF application form;

·   Print the application;

·   Complete the application;

·   Obtain original signatures, etc. where indicated;

·   Retain photocopy of submissions for your records; and

·   Place in mail by postmark deadline date.


IV. Final Grant Reports for Recipients of 2007 Unrestricted Funds
Final Grant Reports for all categories of funds are due by May 15, 2009. Failure to submit a final report may jeopardize eligibility for future grants. Select the appropriate Final Grant Report, complete and submit by May 15, 2009.

V. Forms for grants of “2008 Unrestricted Gaming Funds” that are available for distribution in 2009:

      A.   Community Assets

The forms for grants for Community Assets are now available.  The Community Assets Application Postmark Deadline has been extended to Wednesday, April 8, 2009 for activities commencing after April 1, 2009 and completed by March 31, 2010:

B.   Special Events

C.   Dedicated Assets

The forms for Dedicated Assets are now available.  The Dedicated Assets Application Postmark Deadline is Friday, May 1, 2009 for activities commencing after April 1, 2009 and completed by March 31, 2010:

VI. Exclusions from Definition of Regional Assets

The definitions of the categories of Regional Assets are set forth in the “Grant Guidelines” document for each category.  Specifically excluded from the definition of “Regional Assets” are the following organizations:

·         Any asset which fails to serve a significant number of persons who are not residents of the city, borough, or township within which the asset is located

·         Any health care facility

·         Any institution which predominantly provides elementary (K-8) or secondary education (9-12) or other training

·         Any state or federal parks

·         Any airports or public transportation systems or facilities

·         All libraries

·         Paid public safety organizations and facilities

VIII. Logo

The Conditions of Payment document for each grant program advises of the requirement that grant recipients prominently feature the RAFC logo in advertising and promotional materials for programs funded by these grants.  Click here to download the Erie County Regional Assets Funding Committee Logo (black and white version available here).  Please contact the webmaster if you would like to request the logo in a different format.

 

IX. Erie County Regional Assets Funding Committee Funder Report:

This is only relevant to Dedicated Assets. 

  • You must first log into the Pennsylvania Cultural Data Project (PACDP) website. 
  • Once you log in, you will find yourself on the main page of the website called the Data Profile Manager. 
  • Next to each fiscal year of submitted data (or Data Profile) you will find a series of links.  Please click on the link for “Funder Reports” next to the most recently completed year.  Do not click on “Print” or it will print all eleven sections of your profile!
  • Once you are on the Funder Report page, look for Erie County Regional Assets Funding Committee and click on the link below it in order to print a PDF of the Funder Report.
